2025 AWAM Educational Scholarship
This scholarship category is being implemented to facilitate an annual cash educational scholarship sponsored by individual or corporate donors who would like to support the mission of AWAM - the total amount of the scholarship awarded will be determined by the aggregate of individual contributions made throughout the year. No donation amount is too small. The individual making the donation may choose whether to remain anonymous or be recognized. A receipt will be provided documenting the Tax Deductible Donation.

2025 Inaugural Conference and Scholarship Awards Presentation
AWAM seeks donations (from individuals or Corporations) towards the estimated $78,000.00 cost of hosting this critical function in Irving, TX. AWAM has been hosting an annual event since 2012 to facilitate peer to peer networking, informal recruiting and Scholarship awards presentations in a relaxed atmosphere serving hors d'oeuvres with a cash bar available.

2025 Student Scholarship Travel Fund
For many student scholarship recipients, the cost of travelling to the WAI conference to attend the AWAM Scholarship Awards Ceremony is beyond their means. In 2023 and 2024, generous donors made it possible for several scholarship recipients to attend the entire WAI conference, and to be present at the AWAM Scholarship Awards Ceremony. It was wonderful to have been able to welcome these young women into the aviation community in such a profound and generous manner, and we have been inspired to to try and make this happen for a few more student scholarship recipients for the 2025 conference in Denver, CO. The Susie A. King Memorial Fund
The Susie A. King Memorial Fund would like to provide funds to Women (exclusively) who are looking to pursue a career in Aviation Maintenance. We would like to provide funding for women to help them reach their educational advancement of FAA license goals particularly but not limited to A & P license and other course work. Susie King joined TWA in 1976 and was one of the first African American Women to become a certified Avionics Mechanic/Technician. Education and opportunity allowed Susie to forge a path in Aviation she loved to do the same for others. Please help to support and honor her memory.
