The Southern Company (an electric utility holding company based in Atlanta) has an opening for an Aircraft Mechanic to support its operations in the southeast.

Successful applicants must possess a valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate. Aircraft training specific to those operated by Southern Company’s Aviation Department (Learjet Model 45, Cessna Citation Model 560, Sikorsky S76 Model A and C, Bell Model 407) is desirable.

Regular duties include performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft in accordance with FAA and other regulations. To perform these duties the applicant must be proficient in aircraft maintenance procedures with emphasis being placed on quality and safety and own their own set of personal tools.
