AEPS Job Fair Report

The Airline Employment Placement Service held a job fair in Los Angeles, CA On June 16 and 17, 2000. Since the members of AWAM's board of directors were planning a board meeting at about that time. It was decided to combine the trip with the AEPS event.

Recruiters from virtually every airline as well as manufacturers, were in attendance. All were enthusiastically wooing pilots, flight attendance and, of course maintenance and engineering personnel. The next event will be in Dallas in July. For more information go to www.aeps.com.

It was a productive event for AWAM as well. It was a great place to make contact with a segment of the industry that we support. AWAM members who attended the job fair were able to meet the board members who all personally worked at the AWAM booth. As usual, the camaraderie and good fun were all part of the package!

Although we will not be able to attend the Dallas event, if you are looking for a career in the airline or airline manufacturing industry, this is a good one stop shop. There is, however, a $20.00 fee for job seekers who are not already a member of AEPS.
