JOB SUMMARY: 

Develops detailed troubleshooting packages for MEL, DMI, repeater items, and AOG situations to include MM, TAFI, IPC, parts and other resources. Coordinates with Maintenance Control and Line Maintenance to facilitate the first time positive fix of an item, and the timely return to service of an AOG airplane. Establishes a cohesive collaborative relationship with Maintenance Control and the field, to assure that GAC aircraft are maintained in accordance with the GAC Airworthiness Program, and that all recommended activities comply with GAC procedures and policies. Monitors MEL, DMI and repeater items. Assures a timely and positive repair prior to the required fix date. Interacts with Engineer to provide support for problems encountered during maintenance activities, line operations, and OAG situations. Takes responsibility for action plan, and management of AOG airplanes. Monitors airplanes out of “C” Check and conversion.  Monitors MD-11 proving runs and provides assistance to proving run teams as needed. Reviews log page entry data, computer data, and aircraft performance. Recommends and coordinates improvement actions with assigned teams. Assists Engineering with special projects. Identifies fleet standardization. 

HS required. A & P License required. Min. 5 yrs. MD-11 and 10 yrs DC-10 hands-on experience.
