JOB SUMMARY:

Plans, organizes, manages, conducts and reports on all activities relating to the airline’s Internal Evaluation Program.  Assists or fill in for the Director of Safety & Internal Evaluation in planning and directing company safety programs and efforts.  Prepares a comprehensive, bi-annual evaluation plan.  Performs scheduled and special evaluations as delineated in the Internal Evaluation Program manual.  Prepares and communicates scheduled and special evaluation reports, plans and results to all departments.  Reviews corrective actions and follow-up evaluations by the Maintenance, Operations and other company departments.  Manages comprehensive and special evaluation records.  Prepares a bi-annual report for the President, which summarizes the plans and results of the Internal Evaluation Program.  Monitors all voluntary disclosure cases resulting from the internal evaluation process.  Ensures voluntary disclosure cases are promptly disclosed to the FAA.  Assists department managers in preparing voluntary disclosure reports and implementing comprehensive fixes.  Attends meetings with FAA personnel and other regulatory agencies and organizations.

Associate or Bachelors degree in Aviation or related field req.  Must have 5 years “hands-on” experience in commercial aviation in quality control, maintenance, operations, safety - or a combination thereof.  10 years commercial aviation experience in quality control, maintenance, operations, safety - or a combination thereof - may be substituted for the above two academic/job experience requirements.  Current ATP, PFE, or A&P certificate (or comparable military experience) required.  Quality assurance auditing, internal evaluation, or comparable military experience desired. A &P license required. 5-7 years aviation experience or comparable regulated environment, preferably with MD-11/DC-10 experience in QC or QA aspect. Must have good oral and written communication skills. Must be able to work on many projects at once.
