Awards

	August 1  is the opening date for award applications.
	November 21 is the closing date. Applications must be postmark no later than this date.
	January 19 is the award notification date. All applicants will be notified of their status no later than this date.
	The award ceremony at the International Women in Aviation Conference in February 2009. Attendance is not required, but is encouraged.

These awards recognize inspiring individuals that have been devoted to the maintenance field and have had the courage to make their dreams come true. Nominees must have demonstrated, among other qualities, their commitment to community and/or campus service, leadership, responsibility, and professionalism. Self-nomination is also an option. This year, three awards are open for nominations:

The Mary Ann Eiff - Teacher of the Year Award

Named after first year recipient Mary Ann Eiff, the goal of this award is to honor the teacher who has inspired others.  

Student of the Year Award

Honoring a deserving hardworking student with a great attitude. 

AWAM Beyond all Odds Award

This is an award to honor an individual who has become successful, despite enormous challenges.
