Special Art Award Given By AWAM

The Association for Women in Aviation Maintenance participated for the first time with SimuFlite/Flying Magazine's "Horizons of Flight".

This annual aviation art exhibition and competition is sponsored by SimuFlite and Flying Magazine. Awards were presented October 30, 1999 at a reception held at the SimuFlite Center, DFW Airport.

AWAM Director, Alice Rice, presented a special recognition award to Cher Hogan for her painting, "Personal Touch". Ms. Hogan's painting best depicted women in the aviation maintenance career field.
